Many of you heard about the USSR as an empire of XX century, the country
of a totalitarian regime, communistic dictatorship, and the manufacturer
of weapons of mass destruction...
Or may be about the country with dense woods, big shaggy bears and
drunken muzhiks in fur caps?
But it only if you look from far distance. And if you will look closer?
You will see the country of hospitable and open-hearted people with
their pleasures and adversity, achievements in sport and creative
successes, discoveries and simple human problems.
And also with youth pop and rock musical groups, theatres and museums,
stadiums and pools, production of sewing machines and watches. |

The watches… About them there will be a speech. About the most
popular models in the USSR, about those models which wore simple people
and fop persons of high rank. With those watches peoples ploughed
land, fused metal and conquered space.
It's all about the watches, the witness of that time.
Through its design and historical background each model reflects and
refreshes the memory of actual events of the past. Therefore each
watch may be attributed to a certain year in history. In this manner,
one may retrace the different periods in USSR history as if reading
off a calendar.
